N&C resurrects old bands and reconnects old fans on Facebook

If there's one thing that keeps my hope alive for Nook & Cranny Records its the idea that great music is eternal.

Before the recent internet and music industry revolutions, music created by small, independent bands only went as far as the number of copies of their CD, tape, or vinyl they created.

Now, everything is digital. Great music is always listened to, no matter how old or how obscure it may be. Online, everything finds an audience, and great music has the potential to be around forever, even if the bands most definitely will not.

Congrats, Charles Ray!

Charles Ray Martin, of The Righteous Kind and dblWiDE, has had an exciting week!

Charlie won Broadjam.com's December '08 Lyric of the Month Contest! Check out more info here: http://www.broadjam.com/artists/home.php?artistID=42917

In addition to that fantastic honor, dblWiDE's song "Devil's Red Cadilllac" is being published because it has been included for play in a new reality TV show on MTV!

Congratulations, Charles Ray. Keep up the good work!

It's been a long time comin...

Hey, all!

Well, I finally did it. In just the last few weeks or so, I finally committed the time to finish up the "new" website. 2 days ago I felt it had finally reached the point where it was presentable enough to put online!

Now, there are still a few bugs, and I'm sure the site looks horrendous in Internet Explorer 6. (Please for the love of music, upgrade!) But that's why I'm not really going to promote the site to the public just yet.

Nook & Cranny Records Old School website resurected!

It's alive! It's a miracle!

After a long and arduous search, the original NookAndCrannyRecords.com website is back!

Check it out now, before you're forced to because we've fixed the bugs, polished up the theme, and put it back in its rightful place as the nookandcrannyrecords.net homepage.

All of the old bands, albums, links and more are there. It doesn't get any more nostalgic than this!

Introducing CrannyPlanet

Today we announce CrannyPlanet: a new feature on our website that collects blog posts, news, and other recent content from around the web.

The first members of CrannyPlanet are Squeaky and GvilleMusic.com, who's blogs can now be read right here!

If you have a blog or know of one and would like to include it in Cranny Planet, just let us know here!

N&C is rebuilding!

With a crappy default theme and a completely unpromoted blog post, Nook & Cranny Records has once again taken back its online home.

With the system finally in place, we'll be rolling in the content soon enough! We'll be bringing back all the albums and bands you loved from back in the day, and throw in some new stuff for good measure.

Sign up on our mailing list to get first notification of the relaunch of the site!

Till Then,
J&J
